Laser Hair Removal

Background

Laser hair removal offers patients long-lasting results, with little to no discomfort.  In some cases, laser hair removal reduces hair growth.

Conditions It Treats

Laser hair removal is effective for treating unwanted hair on the face, chest, back, bikini area and legs.  Unlike other hair removal methods, laser hair removal has little to no discomfort for the patient.

How It Works

During the procedure for laser hair removal, laser energy is delivered to the hair follicle using a special device.  The laser is specially designed to not damage the skin.  The heat from the laser damages the hair follicle, removing unwanted hair and preventing hair from growing in the future.

What to Expect

Patients see the results of laser hair removal two to four weeks after the third procedure.  Hair re-growth decreases over time and with repeated treatments. Permanent hair reduction is expected with annual touch up treatments required after the initial series.
