PRP for Skin Rejuvenation
For men and women that have experienced recent hair loss or thinning hair, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments can help stimulate and strengthen hair follicles. This treatment can be a viable option for crown thinning, or for those who are not candidates for a hair transplant.
The Benefits
PRP treatment can help rejuvenate dormant hair follicles to promote hair growth and decrease hair loss.
How It Works
A quick sample of the patient’s blood is collected, then spun to separate the red and white blood cells, leaving only the platelet rich plasma (PRP). The concentrated plasma from the patient’s blood is then injected into the skin, or applied with microneedling.
Platelets are known to contain growth factors, which are used by the body to regenerate. PRP-enhanced procedures promote increased skin volume, stimulate new collagen, and encourage quicker recovery and healing time.
At FreshSkin, we use PRP as a topical agent after laser treatments to speed the healing process, in our AQUAGOLD and microneedling treatments for facial rejuvenation, and as an injectable agent to promote hair growth.
Enhance your next anti-aging treatment and take your results to the next level by adding on PRP.
What to Expect
Depending on the area of concern, more than one PRP treatment may be required when getting started. Improvement is typically noticed within 3-6 months of treatment. In order to maintain results plan for one PRP treatment every 6-12 months. For optimal benefit, PRP is commonly combined with Hair Growth Laser sessions.
